Giving Back: Rover Realty Donates $500 to The Salvation Army

At Rover Realty, giving back to the community is at the heart of what we do. This month, we were proud to donate $500 to The Salvation Army, an organization that has been serving families in need for over 150 years.
When most people hear “The Salvation Army,” they think of the red kettles and bell ringers at Christmas time. While that tradition is a cherished part of their work, their mission goes far beyond the holiday season. The Salvation Army is dedicated to “Doing the Most Good” by providing shelter, meals, addiction recovery programs, youth services, and emergency disaster relief to millions of people each year.
Another piece many don’t realize is that The Salvation Army also accepts lightly used household goods and furniture donations. These items go directly to their thrift stores, which in turn help provide affordable options for families and support programs that assist those facing hardship. It’s a powerful way to ensure that gently used items can find a second life and meet real needs right here in our community.
At Rover Realty, we often meet families going through major life transitions—downsizing, relocating, or sorting through estates—and it’s important to us to highlight local organizations that can make a difference during those times. The Salvation Army is one of those organizations.
We are grateful for the opportunity to support their mission and encourage others to consider donating—not just during the holiday season, but all year round. Whether it’s a financial gift, gently used furniture, or simply spreading awareness, every contribution helps The Salvation Army continue its life-changing work.
Together, we can make our community stronger.
